About Bruce Banter
At a very young age I started drawing characters that I was familiar with. My mother nicknamed me “Doodle” by the time I was in elementary school and I have had a passion for creating characters and images ever since. Drawing influences from many facets such as traditional Chinese and Japanese illustrations and American graphic novels, and music from Hip-Hop to Heavy Metal, I recreate whimsical characters and landscapes based on personal experiences through film and traveling.
To further extend my practices I attended design school when I was in my late twenties and began to incorporate typography and gestalt principles into my illustrations. I often explore the different combinations of both traditional analog design and computer applications to achieve the desired results for the clients that I work for.
